The Role
As the Internal and Change Communication Manager, you’ll be at the heart of a major transformation programme impacting over 22,000 colleagues across a global business.
This 6-month fixed-term contract role sits within the Group Corporate Affairs function and reports to the Internal and Change Communication Director. You’ll be instrumental in shaping and delivering communication strategies that support change initiatives led by functions such as HR, IT, Legal, and Finance.
Based in Central London, with hybrid working (2–3 days onsite per week), you’ll collaborate with senior leaders, project teams, and communication networks across the business to ensure colleagues are advised, engaged, and supported throughout the change journey.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication plan aligned with the programme’s change strategy.
- Develop engaging and informative content to drive awareness, understanding, and adoption of change.
- Write and edit emails, scripts, and other materials, including working with video production teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including project managers, change leads, and senior leaders.
- Coordinate with Group Communications and local business communication teams to ensure alignment.
- Manage a detailed communication project plan coordinated into the wider programme timeline.
- Track and report on communication efficiency using defined KPIs and metrics.
- Apply Microsoft 365 along with Viva Engage for communication delivery and management.
- Support tactical communication needs with hands-on content creation and delivery.
- Ensure consistency and clarity in messaging across diverse global audiences.
Who We’re Looking For
- A skilled communicator with a strong ability to simplify information to a vairety ofaudiences.
- Outstanding copywriting and editing skills with high attention to detail.
- Proven project management capabilities, able to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Creative thinker who enjoys producing original and engaging communication materials.
- Experienced in developing and tracking SMART KPIs for communication initiatives.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Viva Engage, with hands-on experience.
- Comfortable working with senior leaders and technical subject matter experts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust across teams.
- Experience working in global, multicultural environments.
- Thrives in fast-paced, matrixed organisations and adapts quickly to change.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in internal and change communications, ideally within large-scale programmes.
- Background in global organisations; financial services or insurance experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in delivering communications in complex change environments.
