Production Operative – Bakery (4287) Iver, England

Salary: GBP12 - GBP12.71 per hour

As a Bakery Operative, you’ll be working in a large-scale, state-of-the-art automated plant bakery producing a wide range of breads and bakery products. You’ll operate modern machinery and production lines to create large batches that are packaged and distributed to wholesale customers. This is a hands-on production role within a busy manufacturing environment, with varied duties across the bakery process.

 

Locations: Iver, Buckinghamshire

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Shifts: Sunday to Friday – Varied shift times (that are dictated by the client):

  • 6am-2pm
  • 7am-3pm
  • 8am-4pm
  • 9am-5pm
  • 10am-6pm
  • 12pm-8pm
  • 2pm-10pm

 

Key Responsibilities:

Your duties may include some or all of the following (depending on the area/shift):

  • Wrapping, slicing and packaging bread products
  • Part-baking and freezing produce
  • Setting temperatures and cooking times for different products
  • Accurately weighing and preparing ingredients for mixing
  • Mixing, dividing and shaping dough prior to baking
  • Baking various products (breads, rolls, ciabatta etc.)
  • Operating modern machinery and technology throughout the process
  • Cleaning machinery and keeping workstations hygienic and tidy

 

Requirements:

  • Practical, hands-on approach (creative skills are beneficial)
  • Ability to read and understand labels/instructions
  • Confident with basic arithmetic (weights/measures, cooking times, temperatures)
  • Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and moving items
  • Experience is not essential (training provided), but would be beneficial
  • Flexible to work any of the listed hours above.
