Assembler / Inspector - Quality Team (4053) Ruislip, England

We’re looking for an Assembler / Inspector to join our Quality Team in Ruislip. This is an entry-level, shop-floor position focused on completing basic assembly work and carrying out self-inspection to ensure parts meet defined standards. You’ll work to clear procedures and instructions, with minimal decision-making responsibility, escalating issues as needed.
Location: Ruislip, London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
Pay: £13 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic assembly tasks in line with work instructions and production requirements
- Conduct self-inspection of assembled parts to confirm compliance with specifications
- Carry out simple measurements using basic tools (e.g., rulers, gauges)
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality standards at all times
- Identify and report defects or irregularities to Supervisors / Quality Inspectors
- Support Quality Inspectors (QI) with basic inspection tasks when required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Quality Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the quality of your own work through self-checks
- Ensure outputs meet defined specifications and standards
- Escalate quality concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel
Safety & Workplace Standards:
- Promote safe working practices within inspection/production areas
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Report unsafe conditions immediately and support corrective actions
Problem Solving & Customer Interaction
- Minimal problem-solving required—issues outside basic checks are escalated
- No direct customer interaction

- Basic mechanical assembly skills
- Strong attention to detail for simple inspection tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and standard procedures
- Basic numeracy and measurement understanding
- Team player with a willingness to learn
Technical Knowledge (desirable)
- Awareness of quality systems and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with NCR, CAPA, and audit processes
- Exposure to quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and basic data analysis
