Job Description:
Are you a skilled investigator with a background in economic and financial crime? Do you have a passion for unearthing intelligence that can combat money laundering, fraud, bribery, and corruption? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Investigative Analyst.
Role Overview:
As an Investigative Analyst, you will play a vital role in reviewing UKFIU holdings, including Suspicious Activity Reports, Defence against Money Laundering Requests, and international information. Your mission will be to identify opportunities for further intelligence development, ultimately contributing to the fight against financial crime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review UKFIU holdings to identify intelligence development opportunities.
- Initiate and develop intelligence opportunities in priority threat areas such as money laundering, fraud, bribery, and corruption.
- Produce comprehensive intelligence reports for dissemination.
- Identify opportunities for internal development or external partnerships with law enforcement agencies.
- Utilize available tools and information to create professional intelligence products.
- Mentor and upskill colleagues in intelligence processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Previous experience in intelligence development, ideally within economic or financial crime.
- Proficiency in the analysis of financial intelligence, including Suspicious Activity Reports.
- Experience with intelligence processes and operational decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills, including handling complex financial intelligence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
- Background in law enforcement.
Desirable:
- IPP (International Professional Practice) qualification.
- Analysis qualifications.
