You could spend years managing spreadsheets for projects nobody will remember. Or you could help deliver the school a community sends its kids to, the aged care home where someone's parents will live out their years or the hospital that saves someone's life.

This is a well-established client-side project management consultancy who promote internally before looking elsewhere.

Right now, the pipeline leans heavily towards meaningful social infrastructure projects. It's flat and open-door by design, the kind of place where an APM can walk into the CEO's office without booking a meeting and the senior team has been there for decades.

You'll come in as an Assistant Project Manager, not thrown in front of clients on day one but trained up properly first. Day to day, you'll help manage project scope and design coordination, build and track programmes, administer contracts and payment claims, monitor budgets and cost reports, run procurement processes, and keep reporting and client communication moving.

Every one of those sits under a Project Manager or senior lead, so if a programme slips or a claim need pushing back on, you're never carrying it alone.

This isn't a role for someone who needs certainty on every point. Projects run late. Plans change. If that unsettles you, it'll wear you down here.

If you can work through the process with senior people backing you, you'll build real capability fast, and there's a genuine path up for people who want to climb rather than just clock years.

To be considered:

• Minimum 2 years' experience across client-side project management, head contractor, engineering or architecture.
• Experience is in the built environment, no I.T or infrastructure please!
• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture or Engineering.
• Full working rights.
• Strong communicator who is client facing.
