05:45 - 14:00 or 14:00 - 22:15 Monday – Friday, NO WEEKEND WORK.
Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, a leading linen laundry provider based in Derby Due to growth we are looking for several Laundry Operatives. We require energetic and hardworking individuals. Full on the job training will be provided as well as on-going support.
Roles
- The production duties are split into four areas, you will be working in one of the following areas;
- Sorting - the sorting of soiled linen as it arrives on site
- Garments - the processing of scrub suits, nightwear and patient gowns for dispatch
- Calendaring - the processing of flat linen for dispatch
- Dispatch - the picking and collation of products to fulfil an order
Responsibilities
- To be responsible for quality at all times
- Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times - maintaining a
"clean as you go" approach to house keeping - Any other duties which may arise from time to time
- To remain fully flexible with regard to the area and nature of work
Knowledge/Experience
- Full training provided and on-going support
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
Understanding of how training can improve productivity.
Being able to work as part of a team effectively.
Good communication and organisation skills. Must be able to communicate with staff at all levels.
Must have an approachable manner.
