Test Lead / Senior Tester – Payroll Implementation
6-Month Contract | Melbourne or Sydney | Hybrid (3 WFH / 2 Office)
We’re seeking an experienced Test Lead or Senior Tester to join a major payroll implementation program with a well-known Australian organisation.
This is a key role in ensuring the success of the implementation, leading and executing the full testing lifecycle across a new payroll system and its integration with Salesforce.
You’ll work closely with internal SMEs, technical leads, and the implementation partner to drive quality, ensure accuracy, and support a seamless go-live.
The Opportunity

Take end-to-end ownership of test strategy, planning, and execution.

Lead integration, system, and parallel payroll testing (validating results between old and new systems).

Manage defects and progress tracking using JIRA.

Collaborate with payroll, HR, finance, and technical teams, along with external vendors.

Be hands-on when required, ideal for someone who enjoys both leading and doing.

Influence and push back confidently with stakeholders to maintain delivery quality and timelines.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Test Lead or Senior Tester on large-scale system implementations.

Strong background in payroll systems testing, exposure to platforms such as Chris21, Aurion, Preceda, SuccessFactors, ELMO, ADP, Workday, or PayGlobal.

Experience with integration and API testing.

Skilled in parallel payroll testing.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, less structured environment.

Available to start immediately or within 2 weeks.
