Lead Azure Integration Engineer

Melbourne | Hybrid (2 days in the office) | Up to $170,000 + Super

About the Role

We're partnering with a leading Australian organisation undergoing significant digital transformation and cloud modernisation. As the Lead Azure Integration Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's integration strategy while leading a small, high-performing team.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position where you'll design, build and support enterprise-grade integration solutions that connect critical business systems across the organisation. You'll work closely with architects, project teams and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and resilient integration platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and mentor a small team of Azure Integration Engineers.
• Design and develop cloud-native integration solutions using the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Build APIs and event-driven integrations across enterprise applications.
• Drive best practices across integration architecture, security and DevOps.
• Work closely with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement of the integration platform and development standards.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews and solution governance.

About You

You'll be an experienced Azure Integration Engineer who enjoys remaining hands-on while mentoring others and influencing technical direction.

You'll bring experience with:

• Azure Functions
• Logic Apps
• Azure API Management (APIM)
• Service Bus
• Event Hub
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD
• REST APIs and integration design
• C# and .NET (highly regarded)
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers within an Agile environment

You'll be someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and building scalable integration solutions that make a real business impact.
