Learning and Development Manager (JN -022026-64409) Redditch, England
Ashley Kate are working with a global Manufacturing company to recruit for a Learning and Development Manager. You’ll be a proactive, motivated L&D professional with experience working in a fast‑paced environment (ideally FMCG or similar).
This role will be working onsite Monday -Friday 40 Hours per week 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm with 40 mins paid break per day.
As the Learning and Development Manager, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing and evolving a strategic L&D plan that aligns with the business needs. You'll partner with HR and department leaders to build and deliver training programmes, enhance employee development and support a culture of continuous learning.
- Develop and deliver a business‑wide L&D strategy, policy and training plan.
- Lead the site’s Learning Management System (LMS), working closely with global colleagues to implement and manage training content.
- Conduct skills gap analyses and create targeted development pathways.
- Support managers with Personal Development Plans and departmental training needs.
- Embed EDI values within development programmes.
- Oversee and continuously improve the induction experience for all new starters.
- Support the design and delivery of apprenticeships, internships and graduate programmes.
- Build relationships with education providers to support work experience and talent pipelines.
- Contribute to succession planning and talent development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate training records and support internal/external audits.
- Manage relationships with external training providers and negotiate cost‑effective solutions.
- Evaluate training impact and report on progress.
- Stay up to date with relevant L&D initiatives, tools and funding opportunities.
You’ll be a proactive, motivated L&D professional with experience working in a fast‑paced environment (ideally FMCG or similar).
About you:
- Previous experience in a Learning & Development role with strategic responsibilities.
- CIPD Level 5 (L&D) or equivalent.
- Strong experience with LMS platforms and digital learning content (SCORM desirable).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Confident communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Strong IT proficiency (LMS, HRIS, MS Office).
- Ability to manage your own workload effectively and work as part of a wider HR team.
