ACCOUNTING MANAGER, HUDSON COUNTY, N.J.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and manage team of accounting professionals
• Responsible for financial month-end close including contract review and maintain journal entries according to calculations
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures compliant with GAAP standards
• Assist with preparation of month-end reporting to be submitted to corporate executives
• Responsible for performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with preparation financial statements for annual corporate tax filings
• Support corporate financial executives with preparation and submittal of financial reporting
• Assist with identification of risks and implementation of more efficient processes
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting functions
• Manage and oversee data flow from interfaces and ensure the integrity of process

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting/Finance required; MBA/CPA or eligible a plus
• Min 5-8 years accounting experience within consumer product industries
• Outstanding leadership, Tech and General Accounting skills
• Adept with general accounting functions according to GAAP standards
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to interpret financial documents
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and client service skills
• Adept with the preparation and presentation of financial reports
• Strong desire for career growth with ability to absorb and retain new information rapidly
• Work accurately with close attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office Suite of programs and accounting software
• Proficient in Navision 365 a plus
