Senior Accountant, Hudson County, NJ
$85-$90K DOE + Excellent benefit package

Seeking an experienced and results driven, Senior Accountant to join our fast paced and dynamic team.  The Senior Accountant is responsible for working in conjunction with the accounting team on balance sheet and reconciliations of bank, General Ledger, Sub-Ledger account balances, AP & AR in a fast paced, high transactional environment, where no two days are the same!


Responsibilities

• Manage, train and mentor Direct Reports in Accounting department
• Management of income statement, balance sheet, prepaid, accrual, flux analysis and Fixed Assets
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare adjusting & accrual journal entries
• Manage and oversee all Accounting functions including GL and Journal Entry  
• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities 
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts to Sub-Ledger accounts 
• Perform and submit monthly Bank Reconciliations 
• Record non-trade cash receipts and reconcile cash daily
• Assist Controller and CFO with year-end financial audit including preparation 
• Prepare and submit all financial reports to Corporate Executives
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 
• 5-8 + years of related Accounting and strong leadership experience
• Very strong mathematical, analytical and General Accounting skills 
• Must have extensive skill set with regard to prepaid, accrual and flux analysis and Fixed Assets
• Ability to build & analyze reports, relaying vital information to Executive Management
• A team mentality and ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high transactional environment and filter out distractions
• Advanced Microsoft Excel including dashboards, VLOOKUP and pivot tables 
• Prior experience utilizing ERP accounting software required; proficiency with Navision 365 a +
