An interesting and rewarding role of Project Accountant working for a not-for-profit business based in York, initially on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Excellent salary of between £46,000 - £50,000 plus generous benefits package

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with experience of SOX compliance to support with an internal controls improvement project.

Key responsibilities will include:

• To plan, implement and coordinate the scheduled Internal Control improvement project
• To produce relevant supporting documentation including process flow charts, risk and control matrices, and evaluation documentation
• Project management including working with key stakeholders across the organisation and working to agreed timelines
• Ensure clear, concise, actionable and practical observations and recommendations, with a well-documented process for communication and clearance of identified deficiencies

To be successful for this Project Accountant position we are looking for the following skills:

• Ideally a qualified accountant through CIMA / ACCA or ACA (ICAEW) qualification
• Experience of managing projects to completion
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience of Sarbanes Oxley or Internal Audit compliance reviews
