Salary: GBP33000 - GBP40000 per annum + flexi and extensive benefits

A cutting-edge technology company based near York is recruiting for a Pay and Reward Officer. Working closely with the HR Team, looking after responsibilities such as payroll, benefits and more, our Client is looking for someone who is both enthusiastic and experienced to fulfil the diversity of this role.

A competitive salary of between £33,000 to £40,000 is on offer for this role, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including; above market standard holiday entitlement, medical insurance, life cover, generous pension contribution, flexible working and many more family-friendly and social benefits.

Key responsibilities for the Pay and Reward Officer will include, but are not limited to:

Payroll

  • Ensure timely, accurate monthly payroll to all team members
  • Review net salary calculations as part of pre-payroll validations, and release and validate payments files to the payroll vendor and internal finance
  • Prepare all inputs for payrolls, taking careful consideration with those coming from numerous channels
  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting, monthly/quarterly/annual returns
  • Support for payroll audits, as and when required
  • Resolve all payroll queries, including those from employees, payroll vendors and external contacts, and find the solution to any outstanding issues
  • Uphold high levels of confidentiality and adhere to all payroll operations and GDPR regulations
  • Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures

Benefits

  • Work with multiple organisations to deliver an ongoing benefits package to the team and ensure this is well received and that team members have a good experience
  • Enrol starters and administer leavers to packages as required
  • Act as point of contact for all benefit, as well as payroll enquires
  • Assist with the preparation of benefit related data to PD11’s
  • Ensure applicable deductions are made accurately and in relation to payroll

Global Mobility

  • Support the company’s Global Mobility requirements end to end
  • Ensure tax compliance for all team members by working with Global Tax Advisors
  • Oversee and prepare assignment management and contracts, including extension letters, monitoring and updating ex-pat tracker
  • Supporting the Company’s Global Mobility Policy
  • Providing support and guidance on Work Visa’s, immigration practices, as well as consolidating data for travel tracking
  • Providing guidance and support to all benefit-related matters e.g. health care, pensions, etc.

The successful Pay and Reward Officer will have the following experience:

  • Knowledge of pay and reward, and benefits packages, as well as a good level of understanding of payroll and pension schemes
  • Familiarity of the UK and European payroll legislation and regulations
  • An understanding of global mobility, tax considerations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, both written and verbal, and show sensitivity and discretion where required
  • Good numeracy and accuracy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, and the capacity to process high volumes of data, both quickly and accurately
  • Confident in working to and meeting deadlines, and the ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience, or similar, in the following roles; Payroll Manager, Benefits Manager, Pay and Reward Officer or Pay and Reward Manager etc. Ideally, you will have experience in running a large payroll and have knowledge of running a large benefits package for employees or, be looking to take the next step in your career. It would also be preferable if the candidate has intermediate knowledge of Excel.
