Our client based in Ormeau are looking for Machine Operators and Packer to join their highly skilled team. .

We are looking for candidates who can work across various shifts including Day, Afternoon and Night Shift, ranging from 8 – 12hr shifts.

As the suitable candidate you will be reliable and able to work ongoing in an on-call casual role. You must be willing to work in a team environment and have the drive, initiative and can do attitude to get in and get the job done. Good communication skills, both written and verbal and high attention to detail is necessary for this role.

You must have full working rights in Australia and live in Australia and available to work Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend. 

Skills and Responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and operating various machines and equipment
• Monitoring production processes
• Performing quality checks
• Working on the production lines as well as within a cool room
• Troubleshooting issues that may arise
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Working with raw meat products

What our client needs from the candidate:

• Physically fit and capable to lift up to 20KG
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Excellent literacy and numeracy
• Hold a current and valid Forklift Licence, an advantage but not necessary
• Experience within machine operating - preferably with food manufacturing production lines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work within a team and independently
• Must be willing to perform general warehouse tasks daily
• Experience working within a butchery or abattoir will be viewed positively
