Responsibilities:

  • Rigorously testing software applications and systems to detect defects, inconsistencies, and functional, usability, and performance issues.
  • Creating, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborating closely with the wider team to understand requirements and provide valuable input.
  • Conducting both manual and automated tests, analysing results, and reporting on testing progress, defects, and overall quality metrics.
  • Investigating and documenting software defects using issue tracking systems, providing clear and concise descriptions, steps to reproduce, and relevant details.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Performing regression testing to validate fixes and verify the resolution of reported issues.
  • Contributing to user acceptance testing (UAT) and collaborating with end-users to ensure our software meets business needs and user expectations.
  • Remaining updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software testing and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Extensive background as a Software Tester or Quality Analyst, demonstrating a deep grasp of software development processes and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in both manual and automated testing methods, along with various testing tools and frameworks.
  • Skilled in crafting and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive software quality assessment.
  • Adept in utilizing defect tracking and management tools to facilitate seamless issue resolution.
  • Possess an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Exhibit a strong analytical mindset, capable of critical thinking and adept at identifying edge cases and potential defects.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with a knack for solving complex problems.
  • Excel as a collaborative team player and can work autonomously with minimal supervision.
