About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager - Payroll Worforce & Advisory, with strong payroll experience to join the national Workforce Advisory team in Sydney. You will:

• Lead a team of Payroll and Employment Tax Consultants, guiding them through complex payroll projects.
• Advise clients on payroll operations, system configuration, leave and absence management, remuneration packaging, and remediation of underpayments.
• Support clients on compliance with PAYG, payroll tax, Fringe Benefit Tax, and Superannuation Guarantee obligations.
• Drive payroll system improvement initiatives, leveraging automation, data analytics, and technology solutions.
• Manage interactions with regulators, including ATO, SRO, and FWO, resolving disputes and investigations.
• Contribute to the growth of national payroll advisory offerings and strengthen client relationships.

Skills & Experience 

• Extensive experience in payroll operations, system configuration, and payroll compliance.
• Experience leading teams or projects within payroll or employment tax.
• Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel and payroll calculations.
• Familiarity with payroll automation and technology tools is highly desirable.
• Ability to research, interpret legislation, and provide practical payroll solutions.
• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships.
