Salary: GBP16965 - GBP18180 per annum

Recovery Worker/Healthcare Assistant at St Mary’s Hospital in Warrington

If you have experience of working in care, and are looking for a new opportunity in an established service, this could be just what you’re looking for.

You will get:

  • A salary of £16, 965 - £18,180
  • excellent overtime rates
  • 25 days’ annual leave
  • Career development, training courses
  • A range of cost-saving benefits – including discounts off your food shopping

Do you care for others without a second thought? Looking out for the wellbeing of friends and family, and making sure others are looked after and in good health probably comes naturally to you. Then working as a Recovery Worker at St Mary’s will be a great fit for you.

You will be joining a team that works well together in providing care to men with complex mental health conditions in a medium secure environment.

Enabling people to lead a valued and fulfilled life, maximising their physical, emotional and social capacity through rehabilitation and care is what you will strive towards every day. It is hugely rewarding as you see people improve, being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you.

Ideally you will be experienced in working with adults with learning disabilities, and will be an excellent communicator as your team will need to be updated on progress and changes to ensure care continues when you’re on your days off.

The right attitude and natural ability is hugely important too. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so you will need to be positive, be able to adapt to situations, empathetic and thoughtful but vigilant.

You will work 12 hours days, three days a week. The days will vary week-on-week, and the occasional night shift will be required, though you will enjoy four days off to rest and catch up on life. It provides a great work/life balance.

You will be joining a young and dynamic company with a passion for delivering high quality patient-centred care; led and delivered by management and clinical teams with enormous healthcare experience.

With over 70 services covering Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Neurological Care and Children & Education across England and Wales, you can be safe in knowing you are joining a large and stable company that can support the development of your career however you want it to grow.
