As the Risk Specialist, your role responsibilities will include:

• Enhance risk management: Play a pivotal role in maintaining, embedding, and enhancing the risk management framework ensuring consistent promotion throughout the organisation. 
• Support risk owners: Assist risk owners in accurately articulating and scoring their risks, identifying mitigating actions and controls to manage these risks effectively.
• Engage with local risk leaders: Support Local Risk Leader’s Group by participating in meetings, responding to training requests, and sharing risk management information and guidance. Look for opportunities to      enhance the group's effectiveness and collaboration.
• Build relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and key business areas, acting as a ‘critical friend’ by providing advice, challenge, support, and guidance on risk matters. 
• Promote risk appetite: Advocate for the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS), helping the organisation understand and apply it as a decision-making tool. Identify opportunities to integrate the RAS more effectively into business processes.
• Enhance risk culture: Be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to strengthen our risk culture.
• General support: Provide general support to the Enterprise Risk Manager and Head of Risk & Assurance as needed.
