Senior Policy Officer - Workforce strategy (BBBH17246) St Leonards, Sydney, Australia

Salary: AUD61 - AUD66 per hour + Super

Our client is seeking to engage a temporary Senior Policy Officer within the Workforce Strategy and Culture Unit of the NSW Ministry of Health. This is a fast paced role in a team that is providing crucial advice to the NSW public health sector in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

In this role you will:

  • Liaise with the Department of Home Affairs and a registered migration agent on the establishment of a statewide labour agreement for health professionals
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to internal and external stakeholders on a range of recruitment and engagement strategies
  • Demonstrate high level written communication skills in the development and review of a range of internal and public facing documentation
  • Contribute to a policy review process, including extensive stakeholder consultation.

 

To be considered you must have:

  • Substantial experience in the provision of policy advice in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of policies and legislation impacting on the health workforce.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in undertaking all stages of the policy cycle (development, implementation and review).
