Solicitor – Trusts & Estates Disputes – Bristol – 2+ Years PQE
Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 (dependent on experience)

A well established national law firm is seeking a Solicitor with 2+ years’ post qualification experience to join its expanding Trusts and Estates Disputes (TED) team based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within one of the UK’s largest specialist contentious trusts and probate teams, working with a high quality client base including major charities, high net worth individuals, and financial institutions.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing and supporting a broad range of contentious trusts and estates matters, including:

  • Disputes over wills and trusts
  • Financial provision claims
  • Executor and trustee disputes
  • Disputes involving powers of attorney
  • Contested Court of Protection applications
  • Running your own caseload efficiently and in line with client service level agreements
  • Assisting senior colleagues on complex and high value matters
  • Advising clients on case strengths, risks, and strategy
  • Drafting and preparing court documents within tight deadlines
  • Attending and conducting client meetings
  • Contributing to business development activities across the national team


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • A minimum of 2 years PQE in contentious probate, trusts disputes, or related litigation
  • Strong technical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence with IT systems and digital workflows
  • The ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently
  • A proactive, organised, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative, client focused attitude
