Chadwick Nott are happy to be working with a well-established and forward-thinking law firm in their search for an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Residential Property team in Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a broad range of conveyancing matters—from first-time buyers to high-net-worth clients with property portfolios—within a collaborative and client-focused environment.

The Role
This is a mid-to-senior level position offering the chance to manage a diverse caseload and contribute to the growth of the team. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing residential conveyancing files independently
  • Advising clients on purchases, sales, transfers, and re-mortgages
  • Delivering high-quality legal advice with commercial awareness
  • Working closely with partners on complex transactions
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Scoping and pricing work effectively with partner support
  • Contributing to business development and networking initiatives
  • Supporting junior colleagues and mentoring where appropriate
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities across departments
  • Monitoring billing, WIP, and time recording consistently
  • Aligning personal objectives with team and departmental goals


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified legal professional with:

  • 3+ years PQE in residential property law
  • Strong technical knowledge and client service skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A proactive approach to business development
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for building a long-term career in residential property
