Chadwick Nott are happy to be working with a well-established and forward-thinking law firm in their search for an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Residential Property team in Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a broad range of conveyancing matters—from first-time buyers to high-net-worth clients with property portfolios—within a collaborative and client-focused environment.
The Role
This is a mid-to-senior level position offering the chance to manage a diverse caseload and contribute to the growth of the team. Responsibilities include:
- Managing residential conveyancing files independently
- Advising clients on purchases, sales, transfers, and re-mortgages
- Delivering high-quality legal advice with commercial awareness
- Working closely with partners on complex transactions
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Scoping and pricing work effectively with partner support
- Contributing to business development and networking initiatives
- Supporting junior colleagues and mentoring where appropriate
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities across departments
- Monitoring billing, WIP, and time recording consistently
- Aligning personal objectives with team and departmental goals
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified legal professional with:
- 3+ years PQE in residential property law
- Strong technical knowledge and client service skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive approach to business development
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for building a long-term career in residential property
