Associate – Employment – Exeter – 4+ Years PQE
Location: Exeter
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with some hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £65,000 to £85,000
A respected national law firm is seeking an Employment Associate with 4+ years’ PQE to join its growing Employment team in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, ambitious and nationally recognised practice, handling a broad mix of contentious and non contentious employment work.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of employment matters, including:
- Employment tribunal litigation and advocacy preparation
- Advising employer clients on HR issues including disciplinary, grievance and redundancy
- Drafting contracts, policies, handbooks and settlement agreements
- Supporting corporate transactions with employment related due diligence
- Advising on employment related data protection matters
- Working with clients across retail & consumer, charity, developer, energy and infrastructure sectors
- Supporting business development, seminars and networking
- Maintaining high professional standards and compliance
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 4+ years’ PQE in employment law
- A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence managing tribunal matters independently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset
- Interest in business development and contributing to team growth
- Ability to work collaboratively across a national team
