Associate/Senior Associate – Projects, Infrastructure & Construction – Bristol– 3–6 Years PQE

Salary: £65,000 – £90,000
A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing Projects, Infrastructure & Construction (PIC) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile contentious and non-contentious construction matters across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, energy, real estate development, and the public sector.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for a broad range of construction-related legal work, including:
- Advising on complex contractual issues with appropriate Partner support
- Representing clients in adjudication, arbitration, and Technology and Construction Court proceedings
- Supporting clients on energy, infrastructure, housing, highways, and student accommodation projects
- Advising on insolvency issues related to construction projects
- Working with clients at all stages of the post-contract process
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Delegating to and mentoring Trainees and Paralegals
- Supporting Partners on tenders and strategic planning
- Participating in business development and contributing to team growth
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 3–6 years PQE in contentious construction law (non-contentious experience also welcome)
- Experience with complex construction disputes, including delay, disruption, defects, and payment claims
- Familiarity with standard industry forms such as NEC, JCT, and FIDIC
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently
- A client-focused approach and commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice
