Salary: £45,000 to £55,000

A respected law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor with 1–5 years’ post qualification experience to join its growing Bristol office. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a developing team, handling a broad mix of contentious and non contentious employment matters while contributing to a modern, collaborative working environment.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of employment matters, including:

  • Advising employer clients on disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, discrimination, TUPE and general HR queries
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, procedures and settlement agreements
  • Handling Employment Tribunal litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing witness evidence and managing hearings
  • Supporting senior lawyers on complex or high value disputes
  • Providing clear, commercially focused advice to clients across multiple sectors
  • Liaising with clients, colleagues and external professionals
  • Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
  • Maintaining high professional standards and compliance


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 1–5 years’ PQE in employment law
  • Experience across both contentious and non contentious matters
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence managing matters independently with appropriate supervision
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
  • Willingness to contribute to the growth of a new office presence
