Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (DOE)

A well established national law firm is seeking a Health & Care Regulatory Solicitor or Associate (3+ PQE) to join its respected Health & Care Regulatory team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist practice supporting major health, social care and education organisations across both the public and independent sectors.

The Role

You will manage a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload, advising clients on a broad range of health and social care regulatory matters. The work spans both contentious and non contentious issues, with a particular focus on inquest preparation and advocacy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of advisory and litigation matters
  • Advocacy at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and Tribunals
  • Advising on human rights, safeguarding, mental health, patient safety and regulatory issues
  • Supporting clients through CQC/HSE inspections and enforcement
  • Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development
  • Working collaboratively within a large, supportive national team


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 3+ years PQE in health and social care law (or related regulatory experience)
  • Experience supporting clients in the lead up to and during inquests
  • Strong technical skills and a practical, commercial approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence managing matters independently while working effectively within a team
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm for developing expertise and taking on new challenges
  • Interest in contributing to business development initiatives
