Solicitor/Associate – Health & Care Regulatory – Bristol – 3+ Years PQE

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (DOE)
A well established national law firm is seeking a Health & Care Regulatory Solicitor or Associate (3+ PQE) to join its respected Health & Care Regulatory team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist practice supporting major health, social care and education organisations across both the public and independent sectors.
The Role
You will manage a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload, advising clients on a broad range of health and social care regulatory matters. The work spans both contentious and non contentious issues, with a particular focus on inquest preparation and advocacy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of advisory and litigation matters
- Advocacy at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and Tribunals
- Advising on human rights, safeguarding, mental health, patient safety and regulatory issues
- Supporting clients through CQC/HSE inspections and enforcement
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development
- Working collaboratively within a large, supportive national team
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 3+ years PQE in health and social care law (or related regulatory experience)
- Experience supporting clients in the lead up to and during inquests
- Strong technical skills and a practical, commercial approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence managing matters independently while working effectively within a team
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Enthusiasm for developing expertise and taking on new challenges
- Interest in contributing to business development initiatives
