Head of Personal Injury & Medical Negligence – Salisbury – 4+ Years PQE
Location: Salisbury (office based, hybrid, or fully remote considered)

Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 (dependent on experience)
A well established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury & Medical Negligence Solicitor (4+ PQE) to lead its specialist three lawyer team. This senior role offers the opportunity to shape and develop a busy department within a supportive and flexible working environment. Fully remote working is available for the right candidate.
The Role
You will head a dedicated Personal Injury and Medical Negligence team, managing your own caseload while providing leadership and strategic direction. The work includes:
- Running a varied caseload of high street personal injury matters
- Handling a smaller number of medical negligence cases
- Working alongside a part time solicitor specialising in clinical negligence
- Ensuring high standards of client care, compliance and risk management
- Delegating effectively and supporting junior colleagues
- Contributing to the growth and development of the department
- Incorporating wider litigation work where relevant and appropriate
- All work is sourced directly, with no involvement from claims management companies.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 4 years’ PQE in personal injury and medical negligence
- Ideally have experience supervising or managing a team
- Demonstrate strong technical ability and sound judgment
- Be confident working independently in a fast paced environment
- Show excellent client care and communication skills
- Have a proven track record of strong billing
- Be an enthusiastic team player with strong people skills
- Be adaptable, organised and proactive
