Supervising Associate – Private Funds – 5+ Years PQE
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £80,000 to £150,000 (DOE)

A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Private Funds lawyer (5+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Private Funds team as a Supervising Associate. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a market leading practice advising on the full lifecycle of private investment funds across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions.

The Role
You will play a key role in delivering complex and high value private funds work, including:

  • Structuring, documenting and launching private funds across private equity, infrastructure, real estate, credit and venture capital
  • Managing sophisticated fund formation projects across UK, European and offshore jurisdictions
  • Drafting and negotiating key fund documents, including LPAs, IMAs and side letters
  • Advising on bespoke structures such as funds of one, parallel vehicles and joint ventures
  • Supporting clients on cross border fund registrations and regulatory considerations
  • Collaborating with colleagues across fund finance, tax, ESG and transactional teams
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering commercially focused solutions

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • Minimum 5 years’ PQE specialising in private funds or fund formation
  • Strong cross border experience, particularly with European and offshore fund jurisdictions
  • Proven experience in secondaries transactions and portfolio sales
  • Experience advising fund managers, institutional investors or investor groups
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver pragmatic, solutions focused advice
  • Confidence managing multiple complex projects in a fast paced environment
  • A collaborative, client focused approach and strong interpersonal skills
