Location: Bristol

Salary: £80,000 – £110,000 (depending on experience)

A leading UK law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Construction & Engineering Disputes and Risk team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value contentious construction matters within a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of construction and engineering disputes, including:

  • Advising on building safety issues, including fire and structural safety
  • Handling disputes arising from major projects (including PFI) both in the UK and internationally
  • Managing portfolio disputes in residential and energy developments
  • Providing practical, commercially focused advice on construction and engineering risk
  • Supervising junior colleagues and contributing to team development
  • Supporting business development activities and building client relationships


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 5+ years PQE in contentious construction matters (Senior Associate level)
  • Strong technical expertise and understanding of construction issues
  • Experience managing complex disputes and supervising junior colleagues
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Proactive approach to learning, business development, and sector knowledge
  • Ability to work collaboratively across offices and teams
