Location: Cheltenham

Salary: £60,000 to £80,000, depending on experience

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Banking & Finance Associate (2–5 PQE) to join a growing and highly regarded team in Cheltenham. This role offers exposure to a broad range of financing transactions and the chance to work with an impressive client base of lenders, corporates and sponsors across multiple sectors.

The Team
The team advises on a wide variety of financing matters, including:

  • Leveraged finance
  • Real estate finance
  • Project finance
  • Asset based lending


Working closely with clients, the team focuses on understanding commercial drivers and delivering tailored, innovative funding solutions — whether supporting a new project, a strategic acquisition or a complex refinancing.

The Role
You will play a key role in delivering high quality advice across the full spectrum of banking and finance matters. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on a broad range of banking and finance issues
  • Supporting leveraged finance and real estate finance transactions
  • Developing and maintaining technical knowledge across the sector
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider team
  • Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for cross referrals
  • Actively contributing to business development initiatives


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a motivated and commercially minded lawyer with:

  • 2–5 years’ PQE in banking and finance
  • A solid grounding in leveraged finance and real estate finance
  • Strong drafting skills and excellent technical ability
  • Confidence managing client relationships
  • A collaborative approach and strong team ethos
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to deliver pragmatic advice
  • A proactive, organised and detail focused mindset
