A leading UK law firm is seeking a Risk and Best Practice Lawyer to join its Operations team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to play a strategic role in managing legal and regulatory risk, supporting supplier and technology contracts, and advising on data protection compliance in a forward-thinking, award-winning environment.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for a broad range of risk and compliance activities, including:

  • Reviewing, negotiating, and drafting supplier contract terms
  • Ensuring alignment with internal policies and ISO standards
  • Supporting supplier onboarding and data protection due diligence
  • Advising on third-party risk and due diligence requirements
  • Providing input on the adoption of new technologies, including generative AI
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory developments
  • Assisting with training and awareness initiatives
  • Preparing reports and supporting audit-related changes


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified lawyer or legal professional with:

  • A Practicing Certificate or strong in-house/private practice experience
  • Knowledge of technology or SaaS contracts and data protection (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing competing priorities
  • Confidence in advising stakeholders across the business
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
