Salary: £60,000 to £85,000
A leading UK law firm is seeking a Risk and Best Practice Lawyer to join its Operations team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to play a strategic role in managing legal and regulatory risk, supporting supplier and technology contracts, and advising on data protection compliance in a forward-thinking, award-winning environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for a broad range of risk and compliance activities, including:
- Reviewing, negotiating, and drafting supplier contract terms
- Ensuring alignment with internal policies and ISO standards
- Supporting supplier onboarding and data protection due diligence
- Advising on third-party risk and due diligence requirements
- Providing input on the adoption of new technologies, including generative AI
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments
- Assisting with training and awareness initiatives
- Preparing reports and supporting audit-related changes
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified lawyer or legal professional with:
- A Practicing Certificate or strong in-house/private practice experience
- Knowledge of technology or SaaS contracts and data protection (desirable)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive and organised approach to managing competing priorities
- Confidence in advising stakeholders across the business
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
