A leading national law firm is seeking a highly experienced Corporate Partner to join its Bristol office. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the growth of a highly ranked Corporate team within a Top 20 UK firm, based in one of the country’s most dynamic and fast growing business hubs.
The Role
As a Corporate Partner, you will bring strong technical expertise, a strategic mindset and a passion for developing people. You will play a key role in shaping the direction of the Corporate team nationally, with responsibilities including:
- Leading and expanding the Corporate practice in Bristol
- Managing and developing relationships with major UK and international clients
- Working closely with colleagues across the UK and US to grow cross border opportunities
- Delivering high quality corporate transactional work, including M&A, private equity and venture capital
- Contributing to the strategic growth of the wider Corporate group
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting the development of junior lawyers
- Driving business development initiatives and supporting targeted growth plans
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a senior corporate lawyer with:
- A legal qualification and extensive post qualification experience (typically 10+ years)
- A strong reputation for technical excellence in corporate transactional work
- Experience building and sustaining a successful corporate practice
- A deep understanding of the corporate market and emerging trends
- Proven ability to lead teams and support the development of others
- A commercial mindset with strong financial awareness
- A collaborative approach and ability to work across service lines and jurisdictions
- An established external profile as a leader in the corporate field
- A following is essential for this role
