Senior Associate / Associate Director – Real Estate – Bristol
Location: Bristol (Hybrid or Office-based depending on preference)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £75,000 to £95,000 (dependent on experience)

A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Associate Director to join its highly regarded Real Estate Residential Development team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to specialise in affordable housing and BTR/PRS transactions, working with a top-tier client base and a nationally recognised practice.

The residential development team advises clients throughout the full project lifecycle, including:

  • Land acquisition
  • Affordable housing transactions
  • Build-to-rent / PRS sales
  • Site set-up and plot sales
  • Management structures
  • Infrastructure agreements


The team operates nationally across Bristol, Reading and London, supported by strong litigation, construction, planning, tax, and plot set up departments, forming a powerhouse residential development practice.

Clients
The team acts for a wide range of market-leading residential developers (PLC and SME), registered providers, and major investors. Work typically includes:

  • JV projects
  • s106 affordable housing acquisitions
  • Non s106 affordable housing purchases
  • PRS/BTR housing acquisitions
  • Development land purchases
  • Site set-up and plot sales
  • Housing and asset management issues


The Team
The wider real estate department comprises 75 lawyers, including 22 Partners in the UK. The team is supported by:

  • Dedicated affordable housing specialists
  • Site set up and plots administration teams
  • Conveyancing support
  • An award winning in house legal innovation and technology team


Candidate Requirements
The firm is seeking an experienced residential development lawyer with strong affordable housing expertise. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience across a broad range of residential development matters
  • Strong knowledge of affordable housing and/or BTR/PRS transactions
  • Ability to manage complex matters with autonomy
  • Excellent client-handling skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • A collaborative, proactive approach


Applications are welcomed from Senior Associates or Associate Directors, though candidates with slightly more or less experience will also be considered.
