Private Client Lawyer – Chippenham – 3+ Years PQE
Location: Chippenham (with travel to other office locations as required)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 (depending on experience)

A respected and forward thinking law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join its successful and growing Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload within a supportive, ambitious environment that values high quality client service and professional excellence.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a busy and diverse caseload of Private Client matters, including:

  • Wills
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
  • Probate
  • Developing and servicing your own portfolio of Private Client work
  • Building and maintaining strong, profitable client relationships
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance and innovate service delivery
  • Meeting fee income targets
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA, Law Society and Lexcel standards


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Private Client Lawyer with:

  • Minimum 3 years PQE across a broad range of Private Client work
  • Experience handling technical matters at pace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and focused in challenging situations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence in decision making and taking ownership when required
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively
  • High levels of organisation, motivation, and time management
  • Flexibility in approach and willingness to travel between offices
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
