Solicitor – Court of Protection (Property & Affairs) – Cardiff – 2+ PQE
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid / Flexible Working)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £42,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
A well-regarded national law firm is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join its expanding Property & Affairs team in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing practice and work on a varied and meaningful caseload supporting vulnerable individuals and their families.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of Court of Protection matters, including:
- Deputyship applications and ongoing case management
- Advising clients, deputies and attorneys on financial and property decisions
- Drafting applications, reports and supporting documentation for the Court
- Managing client finances including expenditure, investments and property matters
- Liaising with the Office of the Public Guardian and other third parties
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Delivering a high standard of client care with sensitivity and professionalism
- Supporting the development and growth of the team
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor with:
- 2+ years’ PQE in Court of Protection Property & Affairs work
- Strong understanding of Court procedures and regulatory requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities
- A collaborative and proactive approach to work
