Solicitor – Court of Protection (Property & Affairs) – Cardiff – 2+ PQE

A well-regarded national law firm is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join its expanding Property & Affairs team in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing practice and work on a varied and meaningful caseload supporting vulnerable individuals and their families.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of Court of Protection matters, including:

  • Deputyship applications and ongoing case management
  • Advising clients, deputies and attorneys on financial and property decisions
  • Drafting applications, reports and supporting documentation for the Court
  • Managing client finances including expenditure, investments and property matters
  • Liaising with the Office of the Public Guardian and other third parties
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Delivering a high standard of client care with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Supporting the development and growth of the team


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor with:

  • 2+ years’ PQE in Court of Protection Property & Affairs work
  • Strong understanding of Court procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to work
