A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Insolvency Lawyer to join its growing team in Cardiff at Associate or Senior Associate level. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor with solid insolvency experience to work on high-profile matters across both contentious and non-contentious insolvency.

The Role

  • You’ll be joining a nationally recognised team that advises insolvency practitioners, lenders, corporates, and directors on a wide range of restructuring and insolvency matters. The role offers exposure to complex cases and the opportunity to develop your practice in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on administrations, liquidations, CVAs, and receiverships
  • Handling contentious insolvency matters including asset recovery and director misfeasance claims
  • Supporting corporate restructuring and turnaround strategies
  • Advising lenders and stakeholders on enforcement and recovery options
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to business development
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting team growth


About You
We’re looking for a qualified legal professional who:

  • Has 4+ years’ PQE in insolvency law (guideline only)
  • Demonstrates strong technical expertise in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency
  • Has excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Is confident advising clients and managing complex matters independently
  • Brings a proactive, commercial mindset and collaborative approach
  • Is committed to delivering high-quality client service
