Residential Property Lawyer / Conveyancer – Exeter – Fee Earner to Senior Associate
Location: Exeter (with flexible and hybrid working options)

Salary: £45,000 – £70,000 (dependent on experience)

A respected law firm is seeking Residential Property Lawyers/Conveyancers to join its expanding team in Exeter. Due to exceptional growth, there are opportunities up to Senior Associate level. The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of residential property matters, including:

  • Freehold and leasehold transactions
  • New builds and shared ownership
  • Transfers and buy-to-let properties
  • Remortgage, equity release, and auction sales/purchases
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and reports on title
  • Conducting property searches, checking titles, and preparing client reports
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, estate agents, surveyors, and other professionals
  • Managing registrations, SDLT submissions, and file closure
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and AML procedures


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified professional with:

  • Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (with practice rights), or Licensed Conveyancer qualification
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence in managing matters independently
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
  • Previous experience in a law firm environment supporting fee earners
