Chadwick Nott are delighted to be assisting a nationally recognised law firm in their search for a Senior or Managing Associate to join their Employment team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Chambers UK and Legal 500 ranked team, working alongside “Leading Individuals” and contributing to a thriving national practice.

The Role

This senior position offers a varied and high-quality caseload, with responsibilities including:

  • Leading complex Employment Tribunal claims (primarily for Respondents)
  • Advising employers on disciplinaries, grievances, restructures, and redundancies
  • Providing employment law support on TUPE, corporate deals, and outsourcing contracts
  • Enforcing post-termination restrictive covenants
  • Drafting employment contracts, consultancy agreements, settlement agreements, and related documentation
  • Collaborating with senior colleagues on business development strategy
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • At least 5 years’ PQE in employment law
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex workloads and meet deadlines
  • Client-focused approach and relationship-building experience
  • Experience supervising or managing junior lawyers
  • Ambition to contribute to the firm’s growth locally and nationally
  • Commitment to working in a collaborative, team-based environment
