Solicitor – Care – Cardiff – 2+ Years PQE
Location: Cardiff
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with some hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
A respected regional law firm is seeking a Care Solicitor with 2+ years’ post qualification experience to join its established Care team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious fee earner to manage a varied and rewarding caseload within a supportive, forward thinking environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a broad range of care matters, including:
- Handling your own caseload of public law children matters
- Representing parents, guardians, and other parties in care proceedings
- Drafting documents, preparing cases, and attending court
- Liaising with clients, counsel, social services, and external professionals
- Contributing to a collaborative and high performing team culture
- Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent client care
- Travelling to the firm’s other offices when required (Newport, Abergavenny, Ebbw Vale)
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor who can demonstrate:
- 2+ years PQE in care or children law
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence in managing matters independently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- A proactive, motivated approach
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
