Solicitor/FCILEX – Inheritance & Trust Disputes – Exeter – 5+ Years PQE
Location: Exeter (with hybrid working flexibility)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £55,000 to £75,000
A respected regional law firm is seeking a Solicitor or FCILEX with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience to join its highly regarded Inheritance & Trust Disputes team in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex and high-value contentious private client matters alongside recognised experts in the field.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload and advising on a broad range of disputes, including:
- Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
- Disputes over the validity of wills and estate administration
- Breach of trust and trust administration issues
- Capacity and undue influence claims
- Disputes involving cohabiting or separating unmarried couples
- Drafting cohabitation agreements
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor or FCILEX with:
- 5+ years PQE in contentious trusts and probate (or strong litigation experience with a desire to specialise)
- Excellent technical, drafting, and analytical skills
- Strong client management and relationship-building abilities
- A collaborative, proactive, and commercially aware mindset
- Ambition to grow within a successful and supportive team
