A well-regarded regional firm is seeking a qualified solicitor with experience in agriculture and rural affairs to join its team in Wells. The role involves handling a broad range of legal matters for rural clients, including landowners, farmers, and estate managers.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on agricultural tenancies, succession planning, and rural land issues
  • Manage property transactions, ensuring thorough due diligence
  • Draft and negotiate leases, contracts, and other legal documents
  • Provide guidance on planning, regulatory, and compliance matters
  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide integrated advice
  • Stay informed on developments in agricultural and property law
  • Meet billing and time recording targets
  • Manage a varied caseload and respond to changing priorities


Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ PQE in agriculture, rural affairs, or property law
  • Strong technical knowledge and drafting skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • Commercial awareness and client-focused approach
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within a team
