Senior Solicitor – Clinical Negligence – Bristol – 5+ PQE
Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working Available)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time
Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience)

A highly regarded and award-winning law firm is seeking a Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its top-tier ranked team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value claims within a well-resourced and supportive environment.

The Role
You will manage a complex caseload of high-value clinical negligence claims, including:

  • Pre-action and litigated clinical negligence matters
  • High-value, maximum severity injury claims
  • Inquests and complex liability cases
  • Claims involving significant expert evidence and technical medical issues


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing cases from instruction through to settlement or trial
  • Advising clients on funding options including CFAs, legal aid and insurance-backed funding
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and court documentation
  • Instructing and liaising with experts and Counsel
  • Progressing claims in line with pre-action protocols and court timetables
  • Attending case management hearings, conferences and inquests where required
  • Maintaining excellent client relationships and delivering high standards of client care
  • Supporting junior team members on complex cases
  • Contributing to team development, business planning and client relationship growth


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor with:

  • 5+ years’ PQE in Clinical Negligence
  • Strong experience handling complex, high-value claims independently
  • Excellent knowledge of litigation procedure and clinical negligence protocols
  • Strong drafting, analytical and organisational skills
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering high levels of client care
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues (desirable)
  • Accreditation (Law Society Panel / AvMA / APIL) desirable but not essential
  • A proactive, commercially aware and team-focused approach
