Commercial Lawyer – Swindon – 3+ Years PQE
Location: Swindon
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid working)
Salary: £60,000 to £85,000 (DOE)

A growing regional law firm is seeking a Commercial Lawyer (3+ years PQE) to join its expanding Business Team in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial matters while contributing to the continued growth of a dynamic and collaborative practice.

The Role
Working as part of a supportive and well established team, you will handle a varied caseload of commercial work for a diverse client base including start ups, SMEs, charities, privately owned businesses and UK subsidiaries of multinational organisations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements and terms
  • Creating bespoke contracts, licences and commercial documentation
  • Advising on IP, IT and data protection matters
  • Providing corporate support on transactions where required
  • Keeping up to date with emerging technologies, including AI related developments
  • Managing your own caseload while supporting senior lawyers across the team
  • Collaborating with other departments including Commercial Property, Employment, Charities and Dispute Resolution
  • Attending networking events and contributing to business development initiatives
  • Supporting and supervising junior team members


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a lawyer with:

  • 3+ years’ PQE in commercial law, gained in private practice or in house
  • Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and client facing skills
  • A proactive, self starting approach with strong attention to detail
  • Confidence in building relationships and contributing to business development
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team
