Family Partner – Poole – 8+ Years PQE
Location: Poole
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with limited hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 (depending on experience)

A well established and highly regarded law firm in the Dorset area is seeking a Senior Family Solicitor at Partner level to join its Family team in Poole. This opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of a long standing Partner and offers the chance to lead a high quality caseload while supervising a small, dedicated team.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a full caseload of family law matters, with a particular focus on:

  • High value financial matrimonial cases
  • General matrimonial matters
  • Supervising and supporting a small team of lawyers and support staff
  • Conducting advocacy and attending court hearings
  • Managing client relationships and delivering high quality legal advice
  • Attending local offices, client meetings, court hearings, and networking events
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the Poole Family practice
  • Working on site regularly, with the option to work from home one day per week


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to an experienced Family Solicitor with:

  • 8+ years PQE with extensive experience in family law
  • Strong expertise in high value financial and general matrimonial matters
  • Significant advocacy experience and confidence attending court hearings
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and guide junior lawyers and support staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • A proactive, professional, and client focused approach
  • Confidence in promoting and developing the Family practice
  • Willingness to travel locally as required
