A leading UK law firm is seeking an Associate with 4–5 years’ PQE to join its specialist Employment Practices Litigation (EPL) team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a vibrant, growing practice handling high quality, complex liability and coverage matters for major insurers and professional services clients.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of EPL matters, including:

  • Defending liability claims pre  and post litigation
  • Advising insurers on policy coverage issues, including D&O and EPL
  • Acting for a broad range of insured professionals and businesses
  • Delivering timely, high quality client service aligned with SLAs and working practices
  • Contributing to team development, training, induction and process improvements
  • Capturing and collating Management Information for client reporting
  • Supporting business development and client initiatives


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 4–5 years PQE with experience managing EPL claims
  • Strong grounding in employment litigation; insurance experience desirable
  • Good understanding of employment law and tribunal procedures
  • Solid knowledge of legal procedures and case management
  • Ability to deliver commercial, pragmatic solutions
  • Confidence interacting with clients and building trusted relationships
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
  • A collaborative, inclusive and supportive approach to team culture
