Chadwick Nott are happy to be working with a leading international law firm in their search for an Associate to join the Transactional Banking team in Bristol. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on high-value, cross-border finance transactions within a collaborative and inclusive environment.

The Role
This client-facing role offers exposure to a wide spectrum of banking and finance matters. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on acquisition finance, leveraged finance, and data centre finance
  • Supporting on public bids, private acquisitions, and event-driven financings
  • Handling investment-grade loans, asset-backed and receivables financings
  • Collaborating with colleagues across UK and international offices
  • Building relationships with banks, sponsors, corporates, and asset managers
  • Contributing to marketing and business development initiatives
  • Working closely with partners, associates, trainees, and paralegals
  • Delivering high-quality legal and commercial advice


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a finance lawyer with:

  • 2–3 years PQE in transactional banking
  • Experience gained at an international or leading regional firm
  • Strong academic background and technical expertise
  • Commercial awareness and client-focused mindset
  • Willingness to engage in business development
  • Collaborative and proactive approach
  • Enthusiasm for working in a diverse and high-performing team


Working Arrangements

  • This role supports hybrid working, with a minimum of three days in-office per week, subject to client needs.
