Solicitor – Agriculture & Landed Estates – Cheltenham – 1+ Years PQE
Location: Cheltenham
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (dependent on experience)

A highly regarded, first tier ranked agricultural practice is seeking an Agricultural Associate Solicitor to join its well-established Agriculture and Landed Estates team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer to develop a long-term career in rural property law within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role
You will work closely with senior fee earners while developing your own varied caseload across a broad range of rural and agricultural matters, including:

  • Title reviewing and reporting
  • Rural land sales and purchases
  • Transfers of whole and part
  • Overage and option agreements
  • Agricultural tenancies (acting for both landlords and tenants)
  • Deeds of easement and wayleaves
  • Land registration matters
  • Sales by auction
  • Secured lending work
  • Managing client, solicitor and internal enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate matter schedules
  • Supporting business development through events and content creation
  • Continuing professional development and training


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a solicitor who can demonstrate:

  • 1 year PQE+ or more in property law (agricultural experience not essential)
  • A commercial, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and drafting ability
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive, professional and client-focused mindset
  • A genuine interest in rural property, countryside matters or agricultural businesses
