Solicitor – Private Client (Wills, Probate & Estate Planning) – Cardiff – 1–3 Years PQE
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)

A thriving, award-winning law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor with 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience to join its growing Private Client Department in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload, contribute to business development, and play a key role in expanding the department.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for:

  • Taking instructions and drafting Wills.
  • Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Managing all aspects of probate and estate administration.
  • Advising clients with excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Drafting legal documents and using case management systems effectively.
  • Applying a commercial approach to billing, time-recording, and reporting.
  • Supporting the growth of the department through business development initiatives.


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 1–3 years PQE in Private Client law.
  • Experience handling a large caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong technical and drafting skills.
  • Excellent client care and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive, can-do outlook and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
