Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a highly respected law firm seeking a Development (Plot Sales) Fee Earner to join their specialist team in Gloucester. This is a rare opportunity to work with national developer clients on high-quality residential development matters, in a friendly and well-established team.
The Role
This is a client-facing role offering exposure to a wide range of residential development work. Responsibilities include:
- Handling site set-up of new development sites (training provided)
- Drafting contracts, transfers, and leases for plot sales
- Managing part-exchange and resale transactions
- Responding to enquiries from buyers’ legal representatives
- Reporting to clients on part-exchange properties
- Managing exchange and completion of sales and purchases
- Submitting SDLT returns and overseeing registrations
- Supervising junior staff and supporting team operations
- Liaising with statutory authorities on infrastructure agreements
- Supporting the department’s billing targets and client relationships
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Solicitor or Legal Executive with:
- NQ to 2 years PQE (property experience required; development experience not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage client relationships and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
- Familiarity with ICT systems and legal platforms
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
