Salary (Swindon): £45,000 to £65,000 (dependent on experience)

A respected regional and national practice is seeking an Associate (3+ years PQE) to join its Residential Property team in Swindon. The team advises on the full spectrum of conveyancing matters — from first time buyers to clients with extensive property portfolios — offering a varied and rewarding caseload with strong partner support.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a broad range of residential property matters, including:

  • Managing a caseload of conveyancing files and transactional matters
  • Delivering high quality, commercially focused legal advice
  • Working directly with clients to take instructions and manage expectations
  • Preparing documentation and supporting partners on complex matters
  • Scoping and pricing work with partner support
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Building your personal profile as a Residential Property lawyer
  • Supporting business development initiatives and attending networking events
  • Identifying cross selling opportunities and building internal referral networks
  • Assisting with team and sector pitches where required
  • Managing time recording, WIP and billing effectively
  • Working towards personal and team KPIs
  • Aligning your work with the department’s strategic goals


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified:

  • Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEx with strong residential property experience
  • Previous experience within a Residential Property team
  • Strong client and project management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Confident working in a small, collaborative team
  • Commercially aware with a commitment to excellent client service
