Solicitor – Residential Conveyancing – Salisbury – 5+ Years’ Experience
Location: Salisbury
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 (dependent on experience)
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays (increasing with length of service)
A respected regional law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its busy and growing Property Department in Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive with 5+ years’ experience to manage a varied caseload and deliver a high quality, client focused conveyancing service from instruction through to completion.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a full and varied caseload of residential property matters, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Remortgages
- Transfers of equity
- Leasehold transactions
- Conducting title checks and reviewing legal documentation
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, leases and related property documents
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and third parties
- Ensuring compliance with AML, SRA/CQS and lender requirements
- Carrying out searches, Land Registry applications and raising enquiries
- Providing clear, practical legal advice throughout the transaction
- Maintaining accurate case management records
- Proactively managing risks, resolving issues and progressing matters efficiently
- Managing client expectations and delivering excellent client service
- Supporting business development and client retention where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive with:
- 5+ years’ residential conveyancing experience
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Strong knowledge of UK property law, Land Registry procedures and lender requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience using conveyancing case management systems (Leap)
- Commitment to high quality legal services and client care
